To get started, here are some basic first steps that you can do to help you start monitoring and publishing to your social media audiences. Hello blog.unic29@gmail.com, Welcome to HootSuite! We know you are really going to enjoy using the HootSuite dashboard, and we are so pleased to be a part of your social media success. To get started, here are some basic first steps that you can do to help you start monitoring and publishing to your social media audiences. 1. Add a social network profile Start with Twitter - then add Facebook, LinkedIn, and more. Select your  User Profile from the  Launch Bar on the left Under My Social Networks, select  Add a Social Network  Select the  Social Network and click Connect 2. Send your first message Type a message in the compose field Select one (or more) of your Social Networks from the dropdown menu, and click Send Now If you figured that out easily enough, try scheduling a message. Not sure what to write? Try  "This is my first tweet from my @hootsuite social media dashboard! Hoot!" to get you started. 3. Add a search stream Streams include your home-feeds, mentions, and DM's, to name a few. Try a search for the name of your company.  Click Add Stream at the top corner of your dashboard Select the social network and click Keyword column Type in your keyword, and click Create Stream For more help, or to browse our how-to articles, visit the HootSuite Help Desk at any time.
